Shopping Spree

When you have moved into a fully outfitted house, you think there can't be anything you could possibly need.

When you are married to Lisle - think again!

The juicer and ice cream maker at least aren't new purchases - but the non-stick pans, the pineapple slicer, the dehumidifiers (yes 2!) and new wardrobe certainly are.  Plus the tupperware and the new Heys luggage to tote it all south in.

And of course there will be shopping in San Jose before going to the house - a printer, exercise stuff, rubbermaid containers, a cooler chest - - the list is growing by the day.

Oh well, someone needs to keep the economy (here and there) booming.

  1. Don't buy Heys Luggage. We purchased three pieces in Dec. 2010 and used the two 30 in. ones for the first time to fly to and from Miami in late January. On our return home, we found one with a at least a twelve inch split in it, completely through the body of the suitcase. Our travel insurance reinbursed us. Yes, we were able to take plenty of clothing, toiletries and shoes with us and still be under 50 lbs., but what a waste of money buying Heys. Our old heavy Samsonite luggage was still ok after 30 yrs. We only got rid of it because of the weight, our ages and having to pull it with a strap. The Heys came highly recommended in luggage reviews, but we will never buy that brand again. I still have the medium size to use, but it will only be for train travel, not air. The broken one we have duct-taped and can still use it in the car and on the train.
